By now you must have prepared for the subject wisely and maybe some of you are giving the final revision to the subject. But preparing for the subject isn't everything you've to do for GATE.
Since many of you must be giving this exam for the very first time, you should be familiar with the Interface of the Exam.
Its very similar to any other Online Exam, Just few things are there which make it different.
I will summarize in few points that what to keep in mind before going for GATE exam.
Before Exam Preparation:
- Apart from studying, you need a proper sleep specially a day before exam.
- Since the exam is in afternoon session(for chemistry), don't take heavy food, as it might make you feel sleepy in the examination hall and can affect your concentration.
- Take a print out of Admit Card (preferably colour) / by the way Black-n-White will also work.
- Reach the examination centre before 1 hour for biometric and other formalities and to avoid any panic situation.
- Last and Most important is to make yourself familiar with the interface of exam, do login and give mock test, Link is provided in the end of the post.
After Entering Examination Hall:
- Check Your details on the computer screen, whether they are correct or not, If you find anything incorrect ask the invigilator to check it.
- Read the instructions carefully, and ask if you don't understand anything properly.
- Check whether your Mouse is working well or not.
- Check the Calculator and Useful-Data list, In the below attached Image, all thigs are labeled to give you a quick view of Exam Interface:
